Over 55s Seabrook Lifestyle Estate planned for Tasmania’s northwest with 315sqm homes

216 homes are planned for Tony Parker’s first Over 55s lifestyle village off the Bass Highway in the rural locality Doctors Rocks on Tasmania’s northwest coast.

If the development application is approved by Waratah-Wynyard Council, Tony’s Seabrook Lifestyle Village will build two- and three-bedroom homes, a clubhouse with amenities including indoor swimming pool on 11.7ha in a staged release, according to The Advocate.

The Hobart Mercury reported the DA was for Lincoln Place, founded by Ben Hindmarsh and Nicholas Collishaw in 2018, who had walked away from the project but that story has subsequently been deleted. The application remains before council with Seabrook committing to it.

"Seabrook Lifestyle Estate features larger home sites of around 315 square metres to 480 square metres, compared to similar estates which are typically around 250 square metres," Tony said.

"The larger sites will provide residents with greater space, separation from neighbours and privacy .... plus provide the opportunity for an attached oversized carport or garage for a caravan, motorhome, boat or workshop space."
