Palm Lake Resort reveals final stage plans for Old Bar land lease community on NSW Mid North Coast

1 min read

Family-owned operator Palm Lake Resort has placed the final stage of its Old Bar development, on the NSW Mid North Coast, on public exhibition.

The revised proposal reduces the number of dwellings from 244 to 204. It forms part of a broader masterplan that already includes approvals for a $2 million, 147-home land lease community and an adjoining 18-hole golf course, expected to cost $1.3 million to develop.

The golf course was approved in September 2023, followed by the land lease community in December 2023. VIA Architects has designed the project, with Northrop engaged for engineering services.

"At Old Bar, we have achieved a new Development Consent and Construction Certificate, allowing the team to move ahead with pricing and programming for Stage 1," Suzanne Jensen, Palm Lake Group General Manager - Development, said in the business' winter magazine.

"To say the Old Bar project is complex would be an understatement, but it’s also a very exciting project – I look forward seeing it mature from paddocks to a thriving beachside resort community in the years to come."
