When a leading WA provider told The Weekly SOURCE they couldn’t see Support at Home contribution rates by 1 October – the Reform Roadmap deadline – we asked Services Australia for comment.
Within hours, the agency called our office, eager to contact the provider and diagnose the issue. We heard first from communications, then later from technical support, who said all providers should have the data.
They were genuinely concerned and keen to get it fixed.
In the meantime, the provider updated us: the data had started flowing – issue resolved.
Two weeks out from the new Aged Care Act, it’s encouraging on two fronts: the systems are coming online as intended, and the Government’s stance is hands-on and supportive – proactively engaging with providers, chasing down problems, and offering one-to-one help.
