111-bed aged care facility planned for south Sydney gets funding boost

1 min read

The new three-storey Georges Estate Health and Aged Care facility will be constructed in Penshurst – 30 minutes south of the CBD – and is supported by a $6.3 million annual funding commitment by the Federal Government.

It will be operated by WA family-owned aged care provider, Hall & Prior, which currently runs 24 residential aged care homes, in-home and community care programmes across WA and NSW.

The Georges Estate facility also includes a wing offering secure care for residents living with dementia and will act as a hub for the delivery of home care services to older Australians in the surrounding area.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2020.
