792 Visits: Record market demand for village accommodation

On 5 November, 792 people visited our village directory website, villages.com.au, a record number for one day. This represents an increase of more than 50% over 12 months ago. They averaged 4.7 pages per visit and they visited at least two village properties on the site. While some operators are reporting slow sales this volume demonstrates an increasing interest in villages as an accommodation option. If the trend continues, this rate equates to 290,000 people a year searching for a village, or 14.5% of the 70+ market.
