Members of the Pacific Golf Club at Carindale, 10km east of the CBD, have already voted on the partnership at a special general meeting, with 89% in favour.

Pacific Golf Club president Craig Austen told the Courier-Mail the club was facing increasing financial pressures.

“We’ve been a part of Carindale for over 50 years and we want to make sure we’re still here in another 50 years,” he said.

Reside Communities now plans to consult with local residents about the project.

They are headed up by CEO and Director Glen Brown, previously CEO of Retire Australia from 2006 to 2014, and Director Adam Vaggelas, the founder of funds manager GreenFort Capital and former Managing Director at Blue Sky, which currently backs new operator Aura.
