Arcare Aged Care reaches new milestone
- New home opens: Arcare launches 121-bed Adelaide care home

Australia’s fastest-growing aged care operator has opened 61 homes and has around 20 more in its development pipeline.
Arcare Aged Care, a subsidiary of family-owned property developer The Knowles Group, has opened the 121-bed Arcare Aged Care Hove, 12km southwest of the Adelaide CBD.
Featuring suites, a hair salon, landscaped gardens, private dining rooms, a gym, and theatre, the home’s Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs) range from $850,000 up to $1.4 million.
“A warm welcome to Jane and the entire Arcare Hove team as they begin this exciting new chapter,” Arcare said in a post.
The opening is the latest chapter in a remarkable growth story. With more than 20 aged care projects in the pipeline, Arcare Aged Care is one of the most prolific – and only – builders in the sector.
The operator also has planning approval for a four-storey, 138-bed aged care home at Wynn Vale, 3km north of central Adelaide – its second aged care home in South Australia.
In May, The Weekly SOURCE reported on Arcare’s purchase of a second aged care site in Townsville, North Queensland.
The operator also lodged plans for a $60 million, 101-bed aged care home in Bonbeach, 30km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD, in May.
Arcare opened 733 aged care beds in 2025, and is set to open 526 beds this year. With Hove now open, the following homes are set to open by year’s end:
- The 118-bed Arcare Mount Waverley, 16km south-east of the Melbourne CBD, due to open in August;
- The 136-bed Arcare Sunbury, 40km north-west of the Melbourne CBD, expected to open in October; and
- The 154-bed Arcare Boronia, 30km east of the Melbourne CBD, set to open in December.
