Arcare will open the doors to its $15 million residential home at Mollymook on the South Coast of NSW in October next year.
Seven submissions were received for the 90-bed, single-storey facility on the corner of the Princes Highway and Ilett Street with concerns raised over its high traffic location, The Daily Telegraph reports.
Arcare signage is expected to go up at the site within two weeks.
Shoalhaven City Council’s Economic Development Manager Greg Pullen told The Daily Telegraph the development was a win for the Illawarra-Shoalhaven economy, with the aged care development in the region supported by local, state and federal strategic plans.
The facility will have 20 beds for sensitive care patients and employ 100 staff.
