Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards: Southern Cross Care, IRT and hayylo take out big prizes

1 min read

Ryman Healthcare wasn’t the only big winner at this year’s ceremony.

IRT Group won two awards – Innovation of the Year in the Productivity category for its Business Intelligence, Data and Automation (BIDA) platform, and the Best Smart Care Technology Product award for its custom ‘resident location device’ that uses a smart phone app to improve the safety of older people in aged care.

IRT was also a finalist for the Innovation of the Year in Technology award.

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) won for Innovation of the Year in the Community Care Model category for its ‘10K Project’ – a program that connects each of SCC’s aged care homes with local resources and networks within a 10-kilometre radius of its site to build partnerships and connections with the community.

And Melbourne start-up hayylo took out the award for Best Smart Care Technology in the Solution Category. The platform is designed for older Australians receiving aged care or disability support, simplifying their care by integrating their health information and care schedule into the one app.

hayylo co-founders, Simon Heaysman and Greg Satur (pictured), spoke at our LEADERS SUMMIT this year about how the platform provides both ‘extraordinary customer service’ and a significant reduction in operational costs.
