Australian unity adds another home care acquisition/partnership

Australian Unity Retirement Living has acquired 50% share in KNS essential services, the leading provider of home care services in the NSW Southern Highlands (Bowral). KNS is a Department of Veteran Affairs contracted nursing provider. The move follows 12 months of negotiation. Australian unity CEO Derek McMillan says they are looking to invest further in the region and build on six on its existing presence at the Mt Eymard retirement village which provide serviced apartments, independent living and home care services.
This is a second expansion by acquisition into home care by Australian Unity.
Ingenia continues manufactured home Park expansion – four new acquisitions
Ingenia has bought for more manufactured home parks in the Hunter region of New South Wales for $10.7 million. They have also executed options to buy an additional two parks in the same Hunter region..
CEO Simon Owen states they are all profitable businesses plus deliver 175 new development sites. He states his 2015 target is to building two new homes per month in each of 10 parks.
