Australian Unity introduces new role for home and disability services

Steve Drummy, the mutual fund’s chief financial officer of its independent and assisted living business, has taken on the role of Executive General Manager Home & Disability Services.

Mr Drummy has been closely involved in developing Australian Unity’s home care and disability services strategy over the past year which is a growing area for the group.

Australian Unity acquired the NSW Government’s home care business including 52,000 clients and 4,000 staff for $114 million in 2015 and have invested ‘millions of dollars in technology and mobile devices’ to streamline the new business.

Chief customer officer, Beverly Smith has also been appointed Executive General Manager of Residential Communities, overseeing their aged care and retirement living portfolio, after previous General Manager Suzanne Dvorak stepped down in June.
