Better Caring raises another $3M after 70,000 hours of care delivered

1 min read

Home care digital disruptor, Better Caring, has raised a further $3 million – this time from venture capitalist Ellerston Capital. This is Better Caring’s fourth round of funding since 2013.

Created by Tony Charara and Peter Scutt (pictured), who also have their own venture capital business (Spark Capital), Better Caring describes itself as “a peer to peer marketplace connecting consumers and care workers and providers”.

The digital platform connects care clients with individual carers who then negotiate an agreed hourly rate between them. Better Caring provides the security checks and full administration backbone to support the customer/carer relationship.

The business was launched quietly in December 2014, serving Western Sydney. They have now expanded across Sydney and regional areas plus Victoria and have notched up 70,000 hours of care delivered by over 700 registered carers.

Their services are also offered to home care package providers who need to outsource. See their promotional video for providers
