The Not For Profit community based retirement, aged care and NDIS services provider has announced it is building the new facility with $8.5M government assistance and an extra allocation of an extra 40 new aged care places – provided in 2017 – before the election.

Bundaleer grew out of the local Lions Club. They also operate one retirement village and one other residential aged care facility in Wauchope.

The facility will be built on the site of an old plywood mill near Timbertown, Wauchope (20 kilometres west of Port Macquarie). It helped build the Sydney Opera House but closed in the 1970s.
