Catholic Healthcare’s application to redevelop its historic 46-bed aged care home in Lewisham has been approved, with construction scheduled to commence in 2022.
The development will see the site turned into a new seniors’ living village with 117 retirement living units and 144 aged care beds.
Catholic Healthcare’s General Manager of Property, Michael Lockwood, says this will enable the provider to deliver high-quality care for Sydney’s Inner West.
“Catholic Healthcare is committed and focused on creating much needed additional services in Lewisham for a growing ageing population. We are passionate about delivering the highest quality care and enriching the lives of our senior community in the Inner West of Sydney,” he said.
