Changes to Our Lady of Lebanon’s aged care development in Harris Park, Sydney

1 min read

Our Lady of Lebanon has altered its multi-million-dollar aged care development in Harris Park, 1km from the Parramatta CBD in Sydney’s west.

The alterations to the proposal to knock down the Maronite Catholic Parish’s vacant building to build an 85-bed three-storey and recessed fourth-storey aged care home include extending the roof over the terrace on the top floor.

Construction for the project, which is partly funded by the Federal Government, began in 2016 and will feature 75 rooms.

“We are an ageing community but it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for the sick and frail at home,’’ Father Antoine-Charbel Tarabay said.

“The aged care facilities will enable us to better care for and support our seniors and to keep them close within the community, near to their families, their people and their church.”
