Churches of Christ Care negotiating purchase of Toowoomba villages from Southern Cross Care QLD

1 min read

Churches of Christ Care has confirmed it is currently negotiating with Southern Cross Care to purchase two of their villages in Toowoomba. The not-for-profit provider already owns 20 retirement villages and 28 residential aged care services in Queensland and Victoria.

Director of Seniors and Supported Living Bryan Mason said “These two villages are key to furthering our strong commitment to seniors in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.”

Southern Cross Care had managed the Assisi and Kilkivan villages from their Brisbane-based office, but have made the decision to provide residents with more local service and support. They have five other villages plus 10 care facilities in SE QLD up to Noosa.

The sale is due to settle by the end of June, subject to agreement by all parties.
