The 122-bed McQuoin Park home in Wahroonga, 22km north west of the Sydney CBD, was officially opened in early May and was developed to replace the existing 73-bed facility on the site.

The Not For Profit has also celebrated the opening of its 100-bed Villa Maria Centre in Eastern Heights, Queensland, after it moved from its original Ipswich site in February.

In addition, the doors have swung open at their new 130-bed St Catherine’s home in Bathurst in regional NSW.

Established in 1994 in NSW and the ACT, Catholic Healthcare now have 40 aged care facilities and 10 retirement villages and first moved into QLD in 2007.

Earlier this year, they also made the leap into Victoria, partnering with Lendlease to develop a six-storey, 144-bed aged care facility at its planned Richmond village in Melbourne. It’s the first of a number of facilities between the Not For Profit and Lendlease.
