Director of aged care and disability charity banned from sector for life

1 min read

A director of the aged and disability carer charity Integrity Care SA has been banned for life from working in the disability services industry.

The lifetime ban on Amy June Collins, of the Adelaide suburb Huntfield Heights, follows an ongoing investigation by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission into the tragic death of 54-year-old Annie Smith in April last year.

Ms Collins’ ban comes as South Australian Police Major Crime detectives continue probing the three directors of Integrity Care SA – Ms Collins, her partner Philip Greenland and her sister, Alison Maree Virgo – as part of their inquiry into Ms Smith’s death.

Rosemary Maione, Ms Smith’s carer for several years, was charged with manslaughter in August last year.
