Fed Govt co-funds $4.5M for Whiddon Group aged care facility in NSW Northern Rivers

The price of ensuring that older members of the community aren’t forced to move away to find a bed.

The funds from the Government’s Regional Jobs Investment Package will go towards extending the Not For Profit’s Kyogle facility from 40 to 63 beds – a cost of $435,000 per bed.

The Government will also provide $1.5 million a year in ongoing costs for aged care places at the facility.

The Whiddon Group has 19 aged care homes across NSW and Queensland, plus 12 retirement villages and eight Community Care service hubs.
