Tanya Plibersek, Federal Minister for Health, has commissioned TenderSearch to identify a research institution to operate a new think tank that will assemble research to support age related policy. $4.6 million is available over four years with the expectation this will be matched by donors and corporate sponsors. The Institute will be named after the Labour Prime Minister, Andrew Fisher. It will agree annual strategic priorities for the government on demography, health, lifestyle, lifelong learning, infrastructure and promotion of the aged in the community.
