Former Estia Keilor Downs aged care home sold again after just months

The former Estia residential aged care facility at Keilor Downs, Victoria, has sold for the second time in six months.

Located in Melbourne’s northwest, the property was sold in March through Melbourne Acquisitions agents James Latos and Dominic Gibson, who say they achieved a 20% increase on the previous sale in September 2021.

“By implementing a targeted national sales strategy, we were able to successfully increase the buyer pool by introducing the property to both local and interstate groups who were not previously aware of the opportunity,” James said.

The new owner intends to give the facility a minor facelift before leasing it to an NDIS operator. According to the agents, now is a good time for operators considering selling homes or development sites this year, due to high demand.

Melbourne Acquisitions last year helped Bupa offload its two sites at Thomastown and Sunshine, also in Victoria.
