Former refugee and aged care nurse embarks on new career – as international model

22-year-old Akiima will soon be strutting the world stage after landing a contract with international modelling agency IMG Worldwide.

Born in a refugee camp in Kenya, the former aged care nurse has lived in Australia for over a decade.
