John Sutherland, the Chief Information Officer of the Year in 2017, has been snapped up from his CIO position at Ramsay Health Care by health, aged and dementia care operator HammondCare.

Mr Sutherland, who won the iTnews Benchmark Award for the MyPatient+ mobile app, has worked for ASX50-listed Ramsay Health Care for six years and eight months and has been President of Australian Private Hospital CIO group since November 2018.

“John has been at the forefront of implementing advanced technological solutions for healthcare delivery on a global scale. His personal faith, and genuine commitment to improving quality of life for those in need are deeply aligned with HammondCare’s mission,” HammondCare CEO Mike Baird said.

“HammondCare is expanding its commitment to digitising many key processes to better support our frontline care teams and the people we serve across health and aged care. John’s expertise and experience will be invaluable.”

Mr Sutherland will begin with HammondCare in early September.
