The ABC is reporting that funds will be directed towards the 60,000 people who have been approved for support but not yet received any funding.
Minister for Aged Care Ken Wyatt has previously told the National Press Club that home care is an “absolute priority”.
The first audit of the actual number of home care packages operating last year found there is a need for more high-level care at home and “meeting projected future demand will need additional investment by government beyond that currently planned.”
