Ingenia launches community boat at Hervey Bay community

The land lease operator is offering a new lure for residents at their Hervey Bay community, 290km north of Brisbane.

A 4.9-metre-long Quintrex 490 Renegade, worth almost $40,000, is now available to any resident with a boat licence.

A volunteer Marine Rescue and Boat Licencing team has also visited the community to offer free lessons on boat safety and how to get a licence.

Ingenia will take care of the maintenance, running costs and storage.

Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Community Manager, Linda Nichols, said the boat was another avenue to diversify lifestyle opportunities within the community.

“The setting of Hervey Bay is what draws people to the area, so embracing what it has to offer the bay itself is what sparked the idea to introduce a community boat,” Ms Nichols said.
