Liberty Villas in Bundaberg had 106 of their 124 units ravaged by floods in February. While they had insurance cover with CGU it has been determined that they did not have flood cover. A significant number of the homes are uninhabitable, forcing residents to move out of the village. The repairs require $1.2 million but how that will be funded remains uncertain.
