ACT-based aged care provider Goodwin has named Chief Operating Officer Stephen Holmes as its new CEO.

Steve (pictured), who joined Goodwin in 2014, will replace outgoing CEO Sue Levy. According to Goodwin, his depth of aged care industry knowledge, as well as his leadership ability, will help the provider deliver high-quality aged care services and accommodation as it works to implement the reforms from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

“The future for Goodwin is especially bright and planned investments in our staff, facilities and business systems will continue to ensure fantastic service for clients and residents in the years ahead,” the Board said.

“With Steve leading the organisation we have full confidence in the next phase of the development and care delivery. Steve’s experience will assist Goodwin in building on its long history of innovation and provision of services.”

The Board added that providing quality care and accommodation will remain a top priority for Goodwin, and that under Steve’s leadership it will continue to develop and implement a strategy to attract and retain a skilled workforce.

“Goodwin has diversified service delivery and is offering an expanded suite of services to our clients and residents. However, there is more we need to do and keep doing to maintain a high standard of care for our residents and clients.

“The coming years will see further growth in the provision of additional services and accommodation to Canberra and the region’s ageing population and further enhance Goodwin’s reputation of being a leading provider of retirement living and care services,” the provider said.
