Japara Healthcare invests in modern, contemporary design for latest aged care facilities

The ASX-listed operator has announced that commercial architects Spowers will design its new 99-bed aged care facility in Rye, 83km south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula.

The site, which is close to the beach and town centre, will boast single rooms with private ensuites, lounge areas, a café and outdoor spaces, all in a fresh, modern design.

Spowers previously designed Japara’s 60-bed Glen Waverley facility which was created to resemble a boutique hotel.

The provider, which has over 40 facilities across Australia, has also commissioned Via Architects to design another 56 rooms for its 72-bed Kingston Gardens aged care facility in Springvale South, 23km southeast of the Melbourne CBD.
