The Minister for Aged Care has blasted the Opposition, saying the Royal Commission is the “ultimate cleanup of the aged care mess left by Labor.”
“We have had to repair Labor’s legacy – they underfunded home care, botched residential care funding and ignored much of their own Productivity Commission report,” he stated.
The press release was issued on Friday – the same day as the Commission’s preliminary hearing was held in Adelaide.
