The daughter of Clare Nowland, who died from injuries she suffered after being allegedly Tasered by a NSW Police officer at Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Yallambee Lodge aged care facility, has been granted access to police body-worn footage of the incident, the ABC has reported.

The 95-year-old great-grandmother was allegedly Tasered by a police officer in the aged care home in Cooma in the NSW Snowy Mountains on 17 May, causing her to fall and fracture her skull. She died at Cooma Base hospital a week later.

The woman’s family have lodged a civil case against the NSW State Government over the police actions, the ABC has reported.

Senior Constable Kristian White, who allegedly fired the Taser, is facing a separate criminal trial over the incident.
