Less than 10% of aged care providers have adopted voluntary reporting of clinical data: The Australian

Social Affairs reporter Rick Morton has again turned the spotlight on aged care, highlighting the fact just 9% of aged care providers (230 facilities) have signed up to the Federal Government’s program introduced in January 2016.

As we reported here, the Government collects data on rates of pressure sores, malnutrition, physical restraint and medication, but with few providers taking part in the program, the data is yet to be made public.

A sign that just like the ABC, The Australian is unlikely to let up on its investigation into the sector.
