The Herald Sun is reporting that the Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) due later this week will contain around 10,000 new Packages as its centrepiece.
The additional packages will bring the number of packages released in 2020 to more than 30,000, after the Federal Government announced 23,000 packages in its delayed October Budget at a cost of $1.6 billion following 6,100 new Packages in July.
By the middle of 2021, the total number of funded places across the country was forecast to reach 184,597 before this anticipated announcement.
However, over 100,000 older Australians remain on the waiting list which the Aged Care Royal Commission has indicated it wants to see cleared as soon as possible.
