NLV begin staged re-opening of community facilities in WA

1 min read

National Lifestyle Villages (NLV) has re-opened the Clubhouse at its Hillview community at High Wycombe to applause from residents after they were closed for a number of weeks and residents isolated at home.

However, NLV tells us they are not taking any risks with residents’ safety. Facilities are being re-opened in a staged manner with limited numbers and social distancing of 1.5 metres still required.

COVID-19 Safety Plans have been developed for all facilities and village gates remain closed to visitors, with homeowners having to grant access to expected visitors to their homes.

No visitors are also being allowed into communal areas, with additional cleaning of all areas being carried out.

Their residents also still have access to the ‘Virtual Clubhouse’ set up by operator Serenitas during the lockdown – which provided online access to activities such as crafts, music lessons, pilates, games and cooking lessons – plus ‘My Emergency Doctor’, which gives residents access to free 24/7 medical support.

They join a number of villages and LLCs around the country cautiously re-opening their community facilities as the National Cabinet and the States and Territories as dial back restrictions on social activities, sports and gatherings designed to prevent the spread of the virus.
