NSW Govt approves sale of 2.5ha Crown land block to NSW Central Coast aged care home supporting Vietnam veterans

Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey said the Vietnam Veterans Keith Payne VC Hostel at Noraville on the NSW Central Coast, 17km east of Wyong, had applied to buy the land to expand its services.

After consultation with the local community, the Government agreed to the acquisition provided the land is used to provide more affordable housing options for elderly in the area.

The region’s population is expected to increase by 95,250 people between 2016 and 2041.

“We currently have 76 residents but have the potential for more aged care accommodation,” Vietnam Veterans Keith Payne VC Hostel CEO Justin Dover said. “We also run Community Assistance Solutions to provide domestic assistance, meals and other services to elderly residents in the community to support their independence.”

Established in 1991 to support the local veteran community, VC Hostel also welcomes non-veterans.
