NSW village residents register Seniors United (political) Party

1 min read

Unhappy NSW village residents (some photographed) have decided to form a political party to get politicians’ attention.

The 500 members required to establish a party has been achieved and the Seniors United Party has been registered.

Like the Victorians, their No. 1 mission is to get a parliamentary enquiry into the management of retirement villages.

Leone Cordingley, aged 74, is quoted in the Daily Telegraph: “They fleece you while you are living and they fleece you on the way out. We are certain we see ourselves as the cows and there is no charity at all, it's all about the quid”.

The party is currently looking for a candidate to put up the next Federal election.
