Grant Thornton is working with the RVA to compile much needed data through their Retirement Living Survey. The survey aims to profile retirement villages across Australia, the services they offer and the changes that have taken place in the retirement village industry over the past 5 decades. The survey will also assess the impact of the Governments proposed aged care reforms on retirement village operators and future alignment of the two sectors. Survey participants will receive reports that provide national and state based data on village configuration, contract and fee arrangements, and resident service.
Only in SATURDAY: why future proofing villages building to 9C pays
Building retirement villages to Class 9C standards can add up to 10% to the total cost of construction. But for a growing number of operators, the upgrade is no longer optional.
