First visualised by the early QLD retirement village leader, Michael Fallon and his family, Samford Grove village, a semi-rural lifestyle location, is closing out its multistage development commenced around 2003.

“For more than 15 years Samford Grove was a small community with limited resident facilities, so we saw a great opportunity to deliver better living options and amenities that cater to the growing needs of retirees in the area,” said Glen Brown, Reside Communities CEO and Co-Founder, who bought the village in 2018.

“The overwhelmingly positive feedback we continue to receive from both residents and the wider community is a testament to what we’ve delivered here, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved.”

The expansion of Samford Grove Retirement Village added more than 100 new villas and townhouses, 12 apartments and a clubhouse to the 20-year-old retirement village.

Reside purchased Samford Grove in June 2018 when it contained 27 villas and a small community facility. In 2020 they commenced a three year construction and sale period, adding an extra 92 villas and 12 apartments or 131 in total. With all but five now sold, this averages 34 a year in construction and sale.

It is now home to more than 160 retirees with a wide variety of living options not often seen in retirement villages, including a mix of modern new apartments, single-level townhouses and renovated and newly built on-ground villas.
