The Not For Profit has started recruiting staff for the facility in Glenvale which is due to open in April 2019 ahead of a predicted increase in the number of people with dementia – from around 3,000 to over 4,000 in the next decade.
The group already provides home support for 862 people and their carers in the region, while another 158 people access the organisation’s dementia advisory service.
How will they find enough workers?
Toowoomba has a catchment of 200,000 people. Currently it has Ozcare and Infinite Care building big facilities.
