RAC providers now required to report how many staff vaccinated against COVID

1 min read

Weekly data provided by operators recorded through a new online reporting tool will tell Federal Government the total number of aged care workers at each aged care service who have received a first dose or who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“Approved providers are now able to trial the reporting tool on a voluntary basis via My Aged Care. This will assist providers in familiarising themselves with the reporting format, prior to it becoming a formal requirement starting on 15 June,” said Health and Aged Care Minister Greg Hunt.

The move comes after Senior Australians and Aged Care Services Minister Richard Colbeck was grilled after saying he did not know exactly how many aged care workers had received vaccinations against COVID-19.

About 32,800 aged care workers have been vaccinated where they work, with another 18,887 workers receiving vaccines elsewhere.
