Resthaven CEO announces plans to retire after 26 years in the job

1 min read

Richard Hearn (pictured left) says he will step down later this year after 34 years with the SA Not for Profit.

Appointed in 1994, Mr Hearn has been involved in growing Resthaven to a workforce of more than 2,500 employees and 500 volunteers, around 10,000 older people and their carers, and 12 aged care homes and six retirement villages.

“I’ve been fortunate to have been a part of the growth of the organisation, working with incredibly talented and dedicated people. But as I am in my 65th year, this is the right time for me to retire from this role,” he said.

The CEO won’t be stepping down however until a successor is found however, and we understand this has proved to be a challenge.

A national recruitment campaign is now underway with Hender Consulting.
