SA Govt revokes ‘open space’ zoning to facilitate Living Choice’s integrated golf course/retirement village

1 min read

In what seems like an increasingly rare case of Governments making it easier for village developers to partner with sports clubs, SA has issued a Revocation of Open Space Proclamation on a section of land to the Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, 17km south of the Adelaide CBD, where the private village operator wants to build 150 homes including 42 villas and 108 apartments.

The first co-located sport club and village development for SA, the site’s clubhouse will also be upgraded with new facilities including an indoor heated pool, cinema, refurbished restaurant, bar and coffee shop, licensed deck and golf simulators.

Town planning firm URPS says Living Choice and the Club now plan to lodge applications for the land division, clubhouse alterations/additions and the villas followed by an application for the apartments – and there’s already strong enquiries for the new village.

Living Choice has nine villages across three states.
