Stockland joins forces with home care providers in new national partnerships

The deal will see the 11,000-plus residents in the operator’s 65 villages provided with an exclusive rate or optional extras with five home care providers: Five Good Friends, Home Instead Senior Care Port Macquarie & Mid North Coast, RDNS HomeCare, St Ives Home Care and Nextt Group.

Each partner will guide residents through assessments, case management and package management requirements for both Government and private service options. They will also offer private home or village consultations for residents.

Stephen Bull, Group Executive and CEO of Retirement Living, said: “Our residents are always free to choose their own preferred care provider, however for us it’s about going the extra mile, to connect residents to high quality and good value providers.”

Studies by Grant Thornton have shown that retirees living in retirement villages go into aged care an average of five years later than “empty nesters” living in the family home.

The partnerships are an extension of Stockland’s Benefits+ program which was introduced in 2015 and is available to all of its current and new village residents.
