Sunshine Coast University predicts 250% growth too on the Sunshine Coast, swamping medical services

Local university research has flagged that the Sunshine Coast population of people aged 60+ will grow by 250% over the next 15 years. The concern is the pressure on medical services. The media has reported the strain regional Queensland is under now for medical services, so how will it cope with this influx. At present it can take 2 weeks to get an appointment with a GP in some parts of the Coast. This may dampen growth as word of poor service spreads.
