The Courier-Mail targets “profit-hungry” home care providers

1 min read

The QLD News Corp paper claims some providers are pocketing “up to $19,000 of taxpayer cash” through big administration fees.

It reports QLD’s Feros Care collects $19,064 in fees for a client receiving a Level 4 package of $49,456 for the highest level of home care, while NSW’s HammondCare at Home charges 35% of higher-care packages plus an exit fee of up to $750.

A sign the media is now targeting home care and are not limiting their investigations to local providers.
