Opal forced to lock down second Sydney aged care home

1 min read

NSW Health is reporting the provider has had a second resident test positive for coronavirus at its Bankstown facility (pictured above) – its second case after a resident at its Quakers Hill home was confirmed to have the virus on Sunday.

NSW Health is following up all close and casual contacts of both cases and both facilities are in lockdown.

As reported yesterday, Opal had already cut off access to visitors well before the Government recommended aged care homes only allow residents to have two visitors once a day.
