Reside Communities hits 1,000 retirement homes after buying Live Life’s Maleny Grove village with plans for more

1 min read

CEO and Co-Founder Glen Brown said its first retirement village on Queensland's Sunshine Coast can be expanded and has gone to the local council with a development application.

Built in 2010, Maleny Grove has 28 on-ground villas and a community centre with limited resident amenities.

Building on the demand for its multi-million-dollar expansions at Brookland Robertson in Brisbane's outer-southern suburb, and Samford Grove, Moreton Bay, Reside plans to upgrade Maleny Grove with the development of a new community centre and the addition of 66 two- and three-bedroom villas, taking the total to 94.

“The positive feedback we have received at Brookland Robertson and Samford Grove has been fantastic, with residents embracing the new communal facilities and welcoming new retirees with open arms.,” Glen said

“We will be building on this success at Maleny Grove.”

Pending development approvals, construction is forecast to commence in late-2024, with completion planned in 2027.
