Clarence Valley Council Mayor Ray Smith joined Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer Paul Yeo and the first residents of Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Rivers for a sod-turning ceremony to mark construction of the community’s new clubhouse in Gulmarrad, near Yamba.
The $9.2 million investment at Northern Rivers Lifestyle Estate underscores the key role that recreational spaces and amenities play in modern land lease living.
“Our residents are already enjoying the bowls green, pickleball court and outdoor dining pavilion that opened late last year, and now we are delivering the heart of the community – the clubhouse,” Paul said.
The 2,237sqm facility – equivalent to half a soccer field – will include a resident lounge, theatre and games room, dining and communal cooking spaces, plus a large outdoor pool, gymnasium, BBQ area, community garden, craft studio and workshop. Outdoor amenities will extend to a dog park, walking track and caravan storage.

Mayor Smith praised the investment as an example of how retirement living communities can deliver both lifestyle and wellbeing outcomes for residents, while adding value to the broader region.
To be built by QLinc, the clubhouse is expected to be completed by late 2026.

Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Rivers will eventually comprise 250 new two- and three-bedroom homes for the over-50s market across six stages. Located just minutes from Maclean and within easy reach of Yamba, Brooms Head and Coffs Harbour, new homes are priced from $545,000.
