Not For Profit operator Uniting AgeWell is seeking to expand its aged care home in Kennington, Bendigo, with a new 30-bed residential wing.
The Strath-Haven Community (pictured) on Condon Street would gain a new $11.9 million two-storey wing, expanding the village’s total capacity to 124 and containing amenities including a new lounge and dining room; the operator is also looking to build a new 26-space carpark.
If approved, the new extension would serve to connect two existing wings of the complex, while Uniting AgeWell has promised no changes to how vehicles access the site despite the new carpark, which would boost total vehicle capacity to 82.
The application is currently before the City of Greater Bendigo Council.
