VIC government looking to save $75 million over two years by selling 1000 bed

The Victorian health Minister, David Davis, has confirmed plans to sell 1000 aged care beds to private and not-for-profit providers for an expected $75 million, stating they can achieve lower costs than the government. Not-For-Profit operator Southern Cross Care has taken over Peninsula Health which the government points to as a very successful collaboration.
