1 min read

The 30-bed Grant Lodge in Bacchus March says the staff member was tested on Saturday as part of the state government’s testing blitz and is asymptomatic.

They are now at home self-isolating with contact tracing is now underway to determine which residents had contact with the staff member.

All other staff members who had contact with the infected staff member are also being tested and sent home to self-isolate.

The home – which is operated by Djerriwarrh Health Services (DjHS) – sits adjacent to the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital.

“Djerriwarrh Health Services has been driving an aggressive COVID-19 testing program for staff and community, and will rely on contact tracing to identify the source of the transmission and any possible other transmission risks,” the DjHS said in a statement.

“Grant Lodge has undergone a complete and thorough cleaning process, and we are currently working through staffing details to ensure residents are being cared for.”
